Privacy Policy — Modern Warfare Wiki

What this site collects directly

Modern Warfare Wiki is a static website. There are no accounts, no logins, no comments and no contact forms, so there is nothing for you to sign up for and no profile stored on our side. The only information we receive directly is what you choose to send by email, which is your address and whatever you write in the message.

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which guides are being read. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as your approximate location (derived from IP address), device and browser type, the pages you view and how long you spend on them. This data is aggregated and is used to decide which pages to update. You can block it with a browser extension, a tracking-protection setting, or by declining cookies where your browser prompts you.

Advertising

This site is supported by third-party advertising. Ad partners, including Adsterra, may set cookies or read device identifiers in order to serve and measure ads, limit how often you see the same ad, and report aggregate performance. Advertising is served by those partners under their own privacy policies; we do not build advertising profiles ourselves and we do not have access to the personal data they hold.

Some ad formats are triggered by interaction with the page rather than placed in a fixed position. If you would prefer not to see personalised advertising anywhere on the web, your browser and operating system both provide controls for limiting ad tracking.

Third-party content

Pages on this site link out to official sources, including callofduty.com and the Steam store, so that you can verify facts yourself. Once you follow an outbound link you are on someone else's site and their privacy policy applies. This site does not embed third-party videos or social widgets, so simply reading a page does not send your activity to those networks.

Children

This site covers a mature-rated video game and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your choices

You can browse with cookies blocked, an ad blocker installed, or JavaScript disabled; the guides are plain HTML and will still read fine. If you have emailed us and would like that correspondence deleted, ask and it will be removed.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Questions about privacy can go to hello@modernwarfare.wiki.
